Aug 26, 2008 - We're glad to know the video was helpful. We have three more coming, including one of another woman who uses henna and indigo to dye her hair jet black and also relaxes her hair.

Aug 26, 2008 - Henna is VERY nice on relaxed hair. The difference in condition is night and day. It's fuller and has more swing.

Aug 26, 2008 - YESS HENNA VIDEOS!I been using henna on my natural hair for years and its made my hair extremely thicker, stronger and also I think it loosened my 4a curls. There is no comparing when its comes down to conditioning african hair. HENNA IS THE BEST!!

Sep 3, 2008 - I am so excited to see this! My hair grows but I am having trouble retaining length. I have heard from some that henna is great and from others its not. the combo of visiting your webpage and this demo have sealed it for me. I was also glad to see not drastic color change. I have ordered henna online and am harvesting test hair from my comb. I CANT WAIT!!

Sep 25, 2008 - Any henna will do the dyeing job but there are different grades and sifts, as well as different characteristics depending on where and when the henna was grown and harvested. If you log on to the Henna for Hair Forum at hennaforhair(dot)com, you can ask the henna users there what they use and how they prepare it.

hennapage Says:

Sep 30, 2008 - I usually get my pure henna or indigo (black) at Indian stores or Whole Foods (Persian Henna). I also mix in lemon juice and no water, later a little olive or Amla Hair Oil and after the dye "sets" 24 hrs later, I add Greek plain full creme yoghurt. The latter conditions the hair very well. Thanks for the vid on relaxed hair. Some think henna is odd for Black hair. Well, it originated use in Africa and who better to use it? Thanks so much!!!

Nov 5, 2008 - Cool video! I'm interested in using henna, but don't really want a colour change... Is there a way to use henna and get some conditioning benefits without getting the red colour change? In your ebook there's the method of using henna and indigo, but you mention that the indigo fades quickly, exposing the red dye. Does this mean I'd always have to apply the henna-indigo to cover up the red, or does the red eventually fade as well? I know there's cassia, but it's not available where I am...
